Worm Farm
The Worm Farm Program introduces children to the science of composting and environmental responsibility through hands-on learning. Students care for live composting worms, manage organic food waste, and harvest nutrient-rich worm castings used to enrich garden soil. Through this process, children learn how natural systems recycle nutrients and support healthy food production.
Our signature Worm Exploration Workshop teaches students that farming does not require access to land and that powerful agricultural impact can begin on a small scale. Children discover that even the smallest organisms play a vital role in food systems—and that they, too, can participate as growers and producers wherever they live. Students are also introduced to basic entrepreneurship concepts by learning how products like worm castings can be packaged, valued, and used or sold within a community.
Parents value this program because it builds scientific curiosity, environmental stewardship, confidence, and early business awareness, while empowering children to see themselves as capable producers and problem-solvers.
