Wiggle Worm Cast Harvest
Let’s harvest worm castings!
The Worm Cast Harvesting Workshop gives participants a hands-on opportunity to complete the composting cycle by harvesting nutrient-rich worm castings from DHCG’s worm farm. During this event, participants will learn how vermicompost is collected, prepared, and used to improve soil health and plant growth.
Participants will observe the differences between finished compost and active bedding, practice separating worms from castings, and discuss how these natural fertilizers support strong root systems and productive gardens. The workshop reinforces concepts in soil biology, decomposition, and sustainable waste management.
This event highlights the role of compost in regenerative growing practices and helps participants understand how small, consistent actions contribute to healthier soil, stronger plants, and more resilient food systems.
