Farm Visit
Let’s go to a farm!
The Farm Visit Field Trip provides participants with a firsthand look at working agricultural operations and the people who steward the land. During this visit, participants will observe daily farm activities, learn about crops and/or livestock, and gain a clearer understanding of how food is produced at the farm level.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, see equipment and growing practices up close, and learn how farmers make decisions related to soil health, water use, and seasonal production. The experience highlights the skills, planning, and responsibility involved in managing a farm.
This field trip connects classroom and garden learning to real-world agriculture, helping participants develop a deeper appreciation for farmers, land stewardship, and the systems that bring food from farm to table.
