DHCG’s Signature Worm Exploration Workshop is a hands-on learning experience that introduces participants to the essential role worms play in soil health and sustainable food systems. During this workshop, participants closely observe live worms, explore their habitats, and learn how these small organisms contribute to composting and nutrient-rich soil.
Participants will examine worm anatomy, behavior, and feeding habits while discovering how organic waste is transformed into valuable compost through vermicomposting. The workshop reinforces scientific observation, curiosity, and environmental responsibility, helping participants understand that healthy gardens begin beneath the soil surface.
This signature experience emphasizes systems thinking and stewardship, showing participants that farming and food production start from the ground up—and that even the smallest organisms have an important role in sustaining life.
