At Dew of Heaven Children’s Garden, children grow food and grow confidence. Our garden gives them a safe place to explore, ask questions, and learn by doing. It is a living classroom where every plant, tool, and activity teaches curiosity, responsibility, and resilience.

Our story

Kiara’s passion for this work began in her grandfather’s backyard garden. She grew up in a city with daily violence and instability, but the garden became her place of peace. With her hands in the soil and her grandfather beside her, she felt stability and care in a world that often felt unsafe. That experience showed her that gardens can change lives. Dew of Heaven Children’s Garden carries that same spirit, giving children a space where they feel supported, capable, and seen.

MISSION

We help children build confidence, curiosity, and self-sufficiency through hands-on garden experiences. Every visit strengthens their sense of inquiry and gives them real skills to shape their future and contribute to their community.

Vision

We want every child to have access to fresh food, green space, and hands-on learning. Many children arrive without those opportunities. Over a single growing cycle, they gain practical skills, healthier habits, and stronger family connections. The garden creates positive changes that last, helping children become the best version of themselves.
