Let’s visit our garden center!
The Garden Center Visit gives participants the opportunity to explore how plants, tools, and growing supplies are sourced and selected for successful gardening. During this visit, participants will navigate a working garden center, learning how to identify healthy plants, read labels, and choose appropriate materials for seasonal growing.
Participants will gain exposure to seeds, transplants, soil amendments, and basic tools, while discussing how growers and gardeners make informed purchasing decisions. The experience reinforces planning, comparison, and problem-solving skills, as well as an understanding of how inputs impact garden outcomes.
This event connects practical decision-making with garden success, helping participants build confidence in selecting resources that support healthy plants and responsible growing practices.
