Let’s visit the Master Gardener’s Garden
The Master Gardeners’ Garden Field Trip offers participants the opportunity to learn directly from experienced growers in a demonstration garden setting. During this visit, participants will explore a well-maintained garden and observe best practices in planting, maintenance, and seasonal crop management.
Participants will learn how Master Gardeners plan garden layouts, manage soil health, address pests, and adapt to changing weather conditions. The experience provides practical insights into techniques that can be applied in home and community gardens, reinforcing concepts already introduced through DHCG programming.
This field trip highlights mentorship, applied knowledge, and lifelong learning, showing participants how experience and observation contribute to successful, sustainable gardening over time.
